Kamel

Born in Brooklyn, Kamel started his journey in photography as a teenager using the camera to document everyday life in his community. He continued on this path and began studying graphic arts at Florida A&M University.

Over the years Kamel has photographed a diverse range of subjects from street photography, concerts, portraits and everyday life.

​

In an effort to articulate and interpret his surroundings he follows the mantra "EVERYDAY HISTORY IS MADE, COLLECT THE EVIDENCE".
